Testimonials
I've been a fan of Sailor Moon ever since it's first, infamously low-rated run in syndication, and I watched it from then, to USA, and then to Cartoon Network. Even though Sailor Moon isn't television, I still have VCR recordings, as well as the VCR box set of the Doom Tree Saga. I love Sailor Moon and miss the episodes with the adventures of Serena, Amy, Raye, Lita, and Mina.
This is why I am determined to make it happen again. I have hope and confidence Serena will return. It can be done. We can get Serena back. But this effort needs your help and your support to proceed.
Fans of the Japanese version of Sailor Moon want to convince you that getting Serena as Sailor Moon on video or on television an impossible goal. I say it's not impossible. In Mexico, for instance, Serena is still Sailor Moon, and Mexico is the closet country, geographically, to the United States and Canada, two of the central English-speaking hubs. That gives me hope that I will hear "Serena" when Sailor Moon returns to television. But I need individuals to make noise. Make it clear that you do not want Toei Animation --the party that created the Sailor Moon anime-- and Naoko Takeuchi --the creator who has ultimate control over the distribution-- to license Sailor Moon to any company that will go against tradition and profitability to give Sailor Moon a name other than Serena.
Don't let negative people who want to change Sailor Moon from the family-friendly cartoon that it was in the 1990's get you down. Stay positive and hopeful. Keep the message clear. Serena is Sailor Moon! We want Serena!
